Dade Recycling Founder, Alfredo Alvarado, Named Panel Member for Going Green Discussion at the Social Good Summit Miami

Miami, FL September 16, 2014/Dade Recycling/- Owner and Founder of Dade Recycling, Alfredo Alvarado, has been invited to be a panel member at the Going Green Discussion within the Social Good Summit in Miami. In this discussion, panelists will be asked for their professional insights and experience into the issues that are keeping Miami from being a sustainable city and what can be done to build a city that is self-sustaining for the future of us all. Alfredo will be a key panelist in this discussion at the Social Good Summit through his years of experience in recycling and sustainable business practices both locally and abroad. The Social Good Summit Miami is a two-day conference examining the impact of technology and new media on social good initiatives locally. Held during UN & Social Media Week from September 22-23, uniting a dynamic community of local leaders and grassroots activists, to discuss solutions for the greatest challenges of our city.

Miami will join New York City as the only two US cities participating alongside 37+ other confirmed countries worldwide. The goal for the Social Good Summit Miami is to bring together community thought leaders focused on social good, joining the voices and ideas of people around the world. They want to highlight all the good that is already being done here in Southern Florida, tackle challenging questions, exchange information and rally behind the global hashtag, #2030NOW and the local hashtag, #SGSMiami.www.sgsmiami.com

Alfredo Alvarado was born and raised in Caracas Venezuela. He is an economist that graduated from the UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela) and has lived in Miami since 2003. Alfredo has always felt the importance of preserving our environment. Over seven years ago he saw a business opportunity recovering used printer cartridges for reuse and built Dade Recycling on it. Now Dade Recycling saves over 3.5 million cartridges from ending up in landfills every year.

About Dade Recycling
Since 2004, Dade Recycling has promoted a more environmentally conscious treatment of electronic waste. By reducing the amount of e-waste piling up in our landfills each year, we are making a positive difference in our communities and our world. Educating our partners is a cornerstone of our philosophy. For instance, contributing empty ink and toner cartridges to be “re-used” (remanufactured) instead of simply “recycled” (de-manufactured) helps to save energy, reduce air and water pollution, and conserves natural resources.www.daderecycling.com
